2.) Do I need an official diagnosis to take part or use your services?
No. Whether you're diagnosed, self-identifying, or supporting a neurodivergent individual, you are welcome here.
3.) Does Think Differently DG provide information and resources about neurodiversity?
We are slowly building an Information Hub on this website - a neurodivergent-informed resource for people at any stage of their journey, whether diagnosed, self-identifying, or supporting someone else. It will include self-management tips, local resources, and guidance to help you find what you need, and when you need it.
5.) I can't volunteer. Can I still get involved?
Absolutely. Getting involved looks different for everyone, and there is no pressure to commit your time in any particular way. You might join our online community, come along to a future in-person event, follow us on social media, browse this website, or sign up to our newsletter. Please do as much or as little as feels right for you.
6.) Can I attend events just to observe?
Yes! There is no pressure to participate in any set way. Everyone who attends our events is encouraged to engage however feels comfortable for them, and simply being present and observing is a completely valid and welcome way to do that. We will try to make our events as inclusive and neuroaffirming as possible. If you have any questions about accessibility, please reach out to us at EMAIL: hello@thinkdifferentlydg.org.uk or PHONE/ TEXT: 07884 472993
7.) Do you offer a crisis service?

-
Your GP
-
NHS 24 - call 111
-
Emergency services - call 999
8.) I find phone calls difficult. How else can I contact you?

9.) Is this community run by neurodivergent people?
Whilst not everyone is open about their experiences or diagnoses, Think Differently Dumfries and Galloway will always try to be neurodivergent-led. This means that we will work with neurodivergent people to shape the direction of the organisation. Some members of our Management Committee are neurodivergent people themselves who came together to build this community after sharing similar experiences of exclusion (click here to Read Our Story).
